Brushes

A brush can be constructed to make it electrically neutral [antistatic], conductive, static dissipative, or insulative in almost any configuration, a few samples of which are shown below.

Services

As industry puts more and more on a single chip, the layers inside the chips are getting smaller and smaller, making them more susceptible to the effects of ESD and EOS.

Engineering

The characteristics used to evaluate the electrostatic properties of the fiber and core material are volume resistivity, surface resistivity, and static decay rate and dielectric strength. Surface resistivity is most commonly used.

Materials

Material definitions and properties for static control purposes are placed in one of three classes: Conductive, Dissipative, and Insulative.

Static-Damage

There are two sources of static damage to electronic devices:
1. EOS [Electrostatic OverStress]
2. ESD [ElectroStatic Discharge]
